Who is Drew Starkey?

Drew Starkey was born in Hickory, North Carolina USA, on 4 November 1993 – his zodiac sign is Scorpio and he holds American nationality. He’s an actor who’s probably known best for his portrayal of Garrett in the 2018 romantic comedy movie “Love, Simon”, written by Elizabeth Berger based on the novel “Simon vs. the hom*o Sapiens Agenda” by Becky Albertalli, and directed by Greg Berlanti. It starred Nick Robinson, Jennifer Garner and Josh Duhamel, and follows Simon Spier who has been hiding from his parents and friends that he’s gay, while his secret has now been revealed. Drew was raised in Hickory alongside his brother Lo and sisters Mackayla and Brooke, by their parents Todd Starkey and Jodi Ballard Hutto, who divorced when he was still very young; his mother then married Brian Hutto.

Drew attended a local high school at which he was interested in sports, and played soccer, football and tennis, and also acting, appearing in nearly all the plays performed at the school. After noticing his talent, Drew’s professor advised him to try and pursue a career in the film industry. He matriculated in 2011 and although he hasn’t spoken of his further education, it’s widely believed that Drew attended college and obtained his degree in 2014.

A couple of Drew’s following roles were in the 2018 crime drama “The Hate U Give”, the thriller “Mine 9”, and the biographical crime drama “Just Mercy”, all of which became hits and won various awards.
