This easy outdoor pizza party is a synch to throw together. Set up a simple pizza making station equipped with sauces, toppings, and pizza dough! Set up your outdoor pizza oven (or just use a bunch of baking sheets in the oven!) and casual table set up with lots of wine and appetizers!

A huge thank you to our parteners over at De Lallo for helping us plan our Italian gatherings with their pantry and party staples!

Whether you’ve got a backyard or a small patio like we used too. There are some parties that you can throw from any space and I think an easy outdoor pizza party is one of my favorites. This time of year I’ve usually used all my entertaining juice on bigger parties like bohemian night and outdoor movie night. BUT! We are still blessed with amazing weather through October and I can’t help but take advantage of it!

Sunday’s are now dedicated to football at our house so we eat an unusual amount of pizza and wings. With an easy outdoor pizza party we get the best of both worlds. Plus! The whole get together can feel super casual as people come and go. Don’t worry about an elaborate table set up or a start and end time.

This party is made to feel fun and relaxed. Which is just how I like to spend the start of fall. Whenever I can get people doing something at a party it usually means one (more drinks are consumed) and two, people start laughing and having fun right away which is a win win in my book.

Set up a pizza making station:

Very important to the success of a good pizza party! I like to set up a small table with a buffet of pizza making supplies. My pals over at De Lallo are my go-to for pizza and pasta nights. With one order I can have everything from pizza dough, sauce, and even fun toppings like pepperoni and roasted garlic.

The Pizza Assembly Line:

Dough it! Start one end of the table with a dough rolling-out station…throwing the pizza dough in the air is high encouraged and great from gram pictures ha! De Lallo makes an insanely easy pizza kit that literally only takes two ingredients. Homemade pizza dough is a game-changer and will totally step up your pizza making game.

Next, move onto sauces. Be sure to have a great pizza sauce but I love doing options like garlic and olive oil or pesto to switch things up.

Don’t forget the toppings! Go, wild girlfriend! This is my favorite part of pizza making. I love watching people’s personalities shine. I like to put out a wide variety of pizza toppings. Everything from fresh tomatoes, figs, herbs, and olives. Don’t forget a few different types of cheese and lots of toppings. Crowd favorites from our party were pesto, pepperoni and fresh basil.

Keep pizza casual!

An easy outdoor pizza night doesn’t need to feel super fancy to be fun! I usually skip the formal place setting and opt for one cohesive color for everything. We went with a variety of mismatching blue and white plates and it made everything feel extremely al fresco. If I don’t have the color I’m looking for I’ll make a quick run to the thrift store and see what I can pick up.

Instead of courses or a set time to eat I love to throw out a big cheese board and a variety of ‘snacks’. This way people can nibble before or after pizza making. Just be sure to keep the pizza oven ready to go.

How much pizza supplies will I need?!

An easy rule of thumb to remember is about 1 pizza per 2-3 people. If you’ve got some heavy eaters or what this to have more of a ‘dinner’ feel to one pizza per person! Other supplies you will need:

-1 large bowl of your favorite pizza sauce
-2-3 different types of cheeses
-2-3 spreads like spicy pesto, roasted garlic, and flavored oils
-5-6 different toppings. Be sure to do a variety of fresh ingredients like tomatoes, basil, etc and don’t forget about peppercinis, pepperonis, and anchovies.
