Joseph Hospital and Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta until his retirement in 1986. Dr. Gholson was an active member of the Cherokee Town and Country Club, playing tennis and golf at every opportunity. He also enjoyed travel and running, especially the Peachtree Road Race. Additionally, Dr.
Gholson was very involved in the Timothy Sunday School Class at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. He was loved and will be missed by his wife, Mary Nell; his children, Beverly Gholson, Linda Reed, Alex Gholson, Susan Franck, Mary Ann Gholson; 9 grandchildren; and his sister, Dorothy Byrne.
