What is the song called where they sing something that sounds like "Maya hi, Maya ho" and who's singing it? I want to find it as an .mp3 file. It has been a hit recently. I'm not sure which language it is sung in but I think it may be Romanian since I think I've heard that the song comes from Romania.

Are you talking about Dragosta din tei by O-Zone? That's italian.
Code: Select all
[Chorus.] Ma-ia-hii Ma-ia-huu Ma-ia-hoo Ma-ia-haa (x4)[Chorus.] .mat.

Yes, that's it. I recognize the chorus. Thank you. I was not completely off when I wrote Romanian. After all, both Romanian and Italian are Latin languages.

Nope. They're Moldavian. But, anyway, Moldavia (or is it "Moldova"?) was once a part of Romania, so Moldavian and Romanian are almost identical.

there are two versions around, released at the same time...
one by O-Zone, the other by Haiducci and the sound 95 % equal.
but thats no reason to make them not No 1 and No 2 in the german Top Ten at the same time...What a shame for Germany!
