This sweet and fun drink is great for Halloween, Valentine’s day and more! Easy to make, fun to drink, and can easily be turned into a co*cktail if you wanted.
This is one of myDrinkrecipes I know you’ll want to keep on hand!
What’s your Halloween going to look like this year? If you’re having a party, boy have I got the drink recipe for you.
This pink witch drink is sweet, fun, and non-alcoholic, so everyone can enjoy it!
Of course, you can easily add a generous splash of your favorite clear liquor if you want to… I won’t tell.
The sorbet gives the drink a fun, frothy top, and the edible star sprinkles and glitter add a whimsical touch.
The drippy black rim really adds a touch of drama, and don’t forget the fun pink rock candy to use as a stirrer!
How to make the pink witch punch?
This is just an overview; the full ingredients and directions are in the recipe card toward the bottom of this post.
- Pour juice. No specific amount, just 1/3 full.
- Pour soda. No specific amount, just until 2/3 full.
- Top with sorbet. Add a few scoops and wait for it to melt into a frothy layer.
- Garnish. Top with sprinkles/glitter and decorate rim if desired.
Helpful Tip!
In the recipe, I call for “pink juice”. That’s intentionally a broad term, because I want you to make this with your favorite flavors! Any juice that’s pink in color will work 🙂 We love to use Ocean Spray cran-strawberry, white cran-strawberry, cran-watermelon, etc. Pink kool-aid is a great alternative as well.
Variations of this recipe
- Juice – choose your favorite juice that’s pink in color for this drink. Cranberry-strawberry is our preferred flavor, but even pink lemonade or pink colored kool-aid will work.
- Punch bowl – as written, this recipe makes one drink. But if you’re having a party, you can absolutely make this in a big punch bowl! Just fill the bowl up 1/3 of the way with juice, another 1/3 of the way with lemon lime soda, and top with sorbet.
- Alcohol – for the over 21 crowd, feel free to add a shot of vodka, silver or white rum, tequila, etc.
- Sorbet – you can also change out the sorbet flavor as well! I like to keep the color in the pink range, but if raspberry flavor isn’t your thing, feel free to try strawberry, cherry, etc.
- Sherbet – instead of sorbet (which generally has very little, if any, dairy), you can use sherbet, which I think is sweeter and creamier. You’ll probably get more frothy using sherbet, so you might want to add a little less of it.
- Rim – I love the drippy look of this rim, but you can also do a classic sugar rim, and even use black sanding sugar (like I do in this Witches Brew co*cktail!).
FAQ’s
What’s the best sorbet to use for this drink?
It’s really up to you and what flavors you’d like. Raspberry, strawberry, watermelon, cherry, or pomegranate are great options.
Can this Halloween drink be served in larger glasses?
Of course! This drink is made by proportions, rather than hard and fast measurements, so it’s very adaptable.
Making punch ahead of time
I don’t recommend making this punch ahead of time, since the soda will go flat and the frothy layer will disintegrate.
However, it’s so simple to make, I promise you won’t be working too hard.
Storage
These drinks don’t really store well, since the sorbet froth layer will disintegrate. However, they’re so good, I doubt you’ll have any left over!

Ingredients
- 64 oz pink juice cranberry strawberry is our favorite
- 2 liter lemon lime soda such as sprite or 7up
- 1/2 gallon raspberry sorbet or sherbet
To serve
- star sprinkles
- edible glitter
- black sparkle decorating gel
- pink rock candy to use as a stirrer
Instructions
Pour pink juice into serving glass (we usually use an 8 oz glass) until it's about 1/3 of the way full. There's no need to be super precise.
Pour lemon lime soda in the glass until it's about 2/3 of the way full. Again, no need to be very precise.
Use a small scoop, or melon baller, to carefully add scoops of sorbet or sherbet on top of the drink. Let sit a minute or so, until the sorbet has melted into a froth.
Use the black decorating gel to line the rim of the glass, adding drips here and there, then top the froth with some sprinkles and edible glitter, if desired.

Punch bowl recipe
- Add pink juice and lemon lime soda to a large punch bowl.
- Add half of the sorbet or sherbet and stir until it dissolves into the liquid.
- Top with the rest of the sorbet, using an ice cream scoop or large spoon to add it on top of the liquid.
- Once it’s melted into a froth, top with sprinkles and edible glitter.
- You can choose to line the punch bowl with the drips of decorating gel, or individual cups, or not use the gel at all, it’s up to you.
